Happy New Year!
Back in 2007 I was lucky enough to travel through Sri Lanka. I wiled away hours ‘researching’ Ayurvedic treatments and their properties on the human body. Intriguingly, after each treatment was over, the lucky recipient was served something very similar to this drink. The provider then explained the benefits the drink offered; helping to cleanse and revitalise the body amongst others. I have to say, whilst often the treatments were quite painful; I looked forward to this drink and it never disappointed. It was served deliciously hot and the lime and honey smell radiated from the glass – Making it brought back such fantastic memories, ( I tried both the hot and cold versions while i was making this) but seeing as it is summer, I thought having it mixed with crushed ice would be suitably refreshing…. and when your detox is over – it is great with any white spirit
This is mouth watering! Nice pictures, too

Hi Karlien,
Thanks so much for your comments, I will email you now with regards to the straws,
Jess
Hello!
Isn’t it just the most refreshing drink? You should try it hot during the winter, or if you’re feeling a bit unwell.
I hope you’re having a lovely summer,
Jess
Hi Karlien,
I have emailed you regarding these,
Jess
Thanks Maja!
How long does this keep?
Thanks
Jenny
Hi Jenny,
These are best made and enjoyed fresh. I wouldn’t keep for more than 1 day.
Hope you enjoy! Lauren
