MasterChef premieres tonight here in New Zealand and to celebrate, last night, Fisher & Paykel hosted an event for retailers, media representatives and executive staff members. The event was held on set in the MasterChef studio.
Here at Our Kitchen we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to cater for the event to which 100 guests were invited. We carefully planned the menu to include bite sized finger food which features on the blog. We focused on detail, presentation and serving tasty food which included tomato tarts, beef, tomato, olive and rosemary pies, rice paper rolls, cupcakes and lemon meringue tarts.
The day ran smoothly, the team had a great time and most importantly the food proved to be a highlight. Catherine Bell and Victoria Wells from Dish Magazine loved our little nibbles and enquired as to whether food was more than a hobby for us! Gauging by the positive feedback and kind words of those that attended the event, we think that our first ever Our Kitchen catering event was a resounding success.
