Cooking can capture the attention of even the youngest of children. Some of my first memories revolve around baking with my Dad. I can vividly remember sitting high up on the kitchen bench giddy at the prospect of being able to measure and pour and mix and stir. It didn’t matter that the kitchen was a mess, that flour, like fairy dust, peppered the bench, the old lino floor and my tiny smocked dress. I was cooking!
So get your kids into the kitchen to share in the fun of cooking. In fact while you’re at it get the big kids in your life involved too; sisters, brothers, mums, dads, friends colleagues. Make March about cooking and sharing. Be it your favourite recipe or technique or simply inspiring someone to get into the kitchen and have some fun.
