High Tea

This month’s theme conjures up memories of delicious sandwiches with their crusts cut off, scones piled high with clotted cream and jam, and tiny morsels of cake; served on delicate, tiered cake stands which stand proudly upon lace covered tables, all devoured (elegantly of course!) whilst drinking loose leaf tea out of fine china cups followed by an elderflower presse if you were still thirsty.

I was very fortunate to work in the most fantastic tea rooms in the UK when I was younger, so I was spoiled with my regular high tea experiences and wish the tradition was still alive!

Obviously, depending on your country’s culture and its tea drinking history, your version of high tea might be something completely different. We would love to hear your stories and experiences…
