Crusted cauliflower works wonderfully as an entrée or as a side to a main course. The rich taste of the lemon myrtle compliments the full and nutty flavours of the freekeh and the cream as though they were made for each other.
A hearty bowl of this soup is the perfect comfort food for a dreary night when you want something delicious, nutritious and quick to prepare.
This post comes to you live and direct from our fine capital, Wellington. As I type I gaze out over rooftops which stretch out across the heart of the city, finally nestling into the lower steppes of Mt Victoria who’s tree-covered slopes flank the east-side of the city.
This recipe was a collective labour of love. Very appropriate given that the people cooking it, that very morning were just newly engaged! This groom-to-be proposed to his Aussie belle, then leap from bed in search of a good solid shoulder of pork like the good hunter-gatherer that he is. Next thing we know he’s rapping on our door at 8.30am armed with pork, spices, a BBQ, some wood chips and a very fresh fiancé! Naturally congratulations ensued and subsequently the BBQ
